How to soft boil an egg?

Soft boiling is not easy at all. Many people make several mistakes. One of them is counting the cooking time of an egg from the moment it is placed in water. In order to make a perfect soft-boiled egg, with the white cut off but the yolk liquid, you need to put the egg in cold water and boil it for a certain time. Be sure to count the cooking time from the moment the water comes to a boil in the pot

The length of cooking time depends on the size of the egg. S eggs, which are the smallest, cook for 3-3.5 minutes. Cook standard M eggs for 4 minutes, and large – L – eggs for 5-5.5 minutes. Try to cook the eggs in not too much water – preferably just a little to cover them

Immediately after cooking the eggs, quickly pour cold water over them. Wait a few minutes, then remove and serve in egg glasses. A soft-boiled egg can be a great addition to a sandwich or a topping on toast

How do you hard boil eggs?

Hard boiled eggs are cooked almost identically to soft boiled eggs. However, the cooking time for hard boiled eggs is different – these should cook for 8 minutes from the time the water boils.

First, place the washed eggs in cold water, and when the water comes to a boil, count down 8 minutes. Then pour out the hot water and pour cold water over the eggs. It will be easier for you to peel them from their shells. Hard-boiled eggs are easy to overcook. You will recognize such an egg by the dark border around the yolk. Eggs that have been stored in the refrigerator for too long or are just plain old also look like this.

How to cook a poached egg?

Shirred eggs are “high school”. Unfortunately not everyone knows how to cook them, but we hope our tips will help you. Crack a fresh egg into a bowl and boil water with a small amount of vinegar. When the water comes to a gentle boil, turn down the heat and swirl it around with a spoon. Carefully pour the egg into the center of the whirlpool and cook it covered for about 2 minutes.
